Project Run & Play Winter Wonderland Entry

Yay for another season of Project Run & Play. Have you guys been over and looked at the entries this week? I've been periodically check the scores and it's been all over the place. I'm really excited to see how the judges will weigh in and who the wk. 1 champ will be!

I really stuck with the practical side of this weeks theme and made a long sleeve shirt-dress for my daughter. The knit is a grey on grey jersey with blue tulle at the bottom. I'm always appealing to her love of dresses so she'll be enthusiastic about wearing garments. I paired it with another staple garment for her- leggings.

Many days she'll also request to borrow one of my soft scarves to play with. To her they're fancy& fancy is good. So, I made her a periwinkle colored one to wear with her winter look. It could have used some shortening but after trying it on, she couldn't be bothered with it and liked it just the way it was. It doubles as a doll sling/hood .... just because that's what five year olds do. They take something and make it something else of course.

and it majorly dumped snow on us tonight. I don't think it will accumulate to much but it came down really quick and heavy. So so pretty. She wasn't happy to come inside but I was getting really wet!

Dress:
Fabric - Grey on grey knit from Joann's Fabric, Blue Tulle from Joann's Fabric
Pattern - Classic Ringer Tee from Peekaboo Pattern Shop

Bottom:
Pattern - Go-To Leggings

  2. I absolutely adore how this turned out! My girl is obsessed with tutus all of a sudden so I added tulle to the bottom of a shirt for her too. But I love your grey on grey.
