Stitchwerx Designs Ainsley & Aiden Baby Suite I Pattern Release & Giveaway Blog Tour

Welcome to the Stitchwerx Designs blog tour. If you haven't seen the other tour participants, make sure to check them out! (links at bottom)

I jumped at the chance to test the Ainsley & Aiden line. Why? Because this has ALL the essential pieces for a babies wardrobe! I just had my daughter Skye a month ago and we didn't find out her sex, so once she was born I was SO ready to start sewing up outfits. My last girl was 6 years ago and I only had a few dresses made up prior to her birth.

I especially enjoyed making the bitty beetle bodysuit. This one was done in white and red polka dots. It's definitely my favorite of the bunch. It's so fresh and easy to pair with bottoms. The fit is perfect too, giving enough ease for her cloth diaper.

I also made the comfy caterpillar pants - which use a knit waistband without elastic. It was great skipping that step and doesn't take away from the fit on her waist.

The patterns were so quick and easy, which I really didn't expect with the bodysuit. If you can sew a basic shirt, you're ready to go.

My favorite part?
Finding interesting t-shirts to upcycle and play with.
I was also really impressed with the amount of options that were available. Long sleeves, short sleeves, knit, woven - there's no way you can't find what you're looking for.

I was literally pulling out hand-fulls of shirts to sew up - and if these haven't convinced you...

just look at the pile I have waiting for me to finish.

A big thanks to Kim for allowing me to test this awesome package. I haven't even begun to showcase the amount of clothing that can be made with them, but I had a blast. This won't be the last you see of the collection here on LCC.
