The Last Dress ... ? Little Geranium in Mustard Yellow and Geometric

Goodness guys, I'm still waiting for a baby. My first came 7 days early forever messing with my perception of the due date. My second waited and I was induced 3 days after my due date - something I now wish I wouldn't have done. This time, I'm waiting it out. I feel really good about my choice to let baby come naturally, but I also realize that with Lily coming early, I've since expected them to (probably to keep myself from procrastinating!). Yeah, but that's not happening and now I'm squeezing in sewing time hoping to finish each item *before the baby comes. It's fun!

I just finished a little newborn geranium dress in case we have a little lady.

It's made exclusively with fabric purchased on my trip to Colorado a few months ago. The geometric fabric is a sheer and light blend, while the top is a shirting fabric. Love them both, especially together.

& because I got this done, I made a tiny diaper cover to go with it. Gotta coordinate.

Fabric - Both from Colorado Fabrics in Denver, Colorado.

  1. This is such a cute geranium, those colour look great together.
A geranium is on my list for a friend's baby... since I'm having a boy.

    1. It's such a cute little dress, I'm definitely adding it to my list of go-to baby shower gifts. When are you due?

  2. Cute! Cute! Good luck waiting. With my two pregnancies I ended up having c-sections as advised by the doctors at 39 weeks 2 days. From now on I am planning all children to be born on 39 weeks and 2 days so that I can equally compare their heights and weights. It was on accident that both were the same.

    1. That's such a coincidence! I thought my son would be much larger than my daughter since she was 7 days early and he was 3 days late- but he was only .03 oz heavier! My body must not be able to handle babies that are too big (i'm kind of a shorty).
