Boys Tops& Tanks For Summer

Good Morning!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day& used the weekend to spend time with their amazing kids (ALL kids are amazing).  I did! We used this weekend to plant a huge garden all around the yard filled with flowers fruits and vegetables. YUM!
Plus my family picked out the most beautiful hydrangea tree for me as a Mother's Day gift. I am pretty darn excited to be picking big blooms off of it.

On the sewing front I've been making clothing for the summer and our trip to Florida at the end of the month. Baby boy has needed some summer tops and shorts. The tops are made using the Peekaboo Pattern Shop Classic Ringer Tee. <--- click it to visit their shop.

On his muscle shirts (I've made like, oh three or more? now) I just leave off the sleeves and finish with a length of rib knit as they did the neckline.

There are some advantages to leaving to sleeves off of this pattern. The biggest? It boasts nice big open sleeves for movement and airflow.

Plus, the material I picked up for these is soo so soft.

He's pretty interested in my measuring tape.
Maybe he will have a natural ability to sew? (oh, to dream.)

I worked on taking this pattern and using it for a cotton button up this weekend as well.
I'm proud to say that on the first try, no muslin, I got a useable shirt. I'll have to snag a few photos of it and share this week.

  2. Thanks so much! I think they are awfully cute too, but I believe my opinion is somewhat biased. :)
