Last night I had an unexpected surge of sewing power and started on my version of The Baby Romper offered as a free pdf pattern by Shwin & Shwin. I made it over a year ago as a baby shower gift but this time it's for me!
My gender neutral version is made from an upcycled men's button up & echino fabric for the lining. The shirting fabric is really light and comfortable, I think it was from Express& I'd saved it for something fun.
I went for really neutral buttons too.
& the buses of the echino fabric poking out.
I had a little bit more time & cut out another free shwin pattern, the Summer Breeze Dress. This one is a size 3-6 month. I did kind of realize that if we have a little girl, I don't have any girl specific clothing (like dresses) for her. I passed Lily's down a long time ago.
So a girl item seemed appropriate- though it's still in yellow, black, and white. No pinks here, I'm taking advantage of controlling wardrobe choices again. :) It seems like even Archer is getting independent about picking out clothes lately. What a ham.
I love the romper! Boy or girl, you will have one well dressed baby :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Teri! I found the cutest onesie to put under it too, so now I'm double excited!
