Hello and thanks for coming over to hang out with me and talk about one of my favorite fabric companies with me on my birthday! Today I'm hitting the big 3-0 and am ready to enjoy another decade of my life, much of which includes sewing.
So, let's get started talking about the gorgeous AGF line Fiesta fun and the fabrics I chose for outfits.
There were a TON of fabrics to pick from which are designed by Dana Willard and I struggled a bit choosing which I'd like to use for my daughters. For my youngest who will be turning 3 in May, I chose the pretty pink Citrus Sunset in woven because Skye adores all things pink and I knew it would be a print she'd see in her closet and ask to wear over and over.
I ended up making her two mix and match outfits with the fabric. The first is a dress with lots of twirl in the skirt to please her twirly side. The print had so many colors it was quite easy pulling out one to coordinate. I made a pair of bloomers to go underneath so she could run and play freely.
As I predicted, the bright colors had her happily putting on her dress!
After creating the bloomers I found them to be SO incredibly cute that it felt like a shame to constantly hide them under a dress so, I created a top to really showcase the bloomers and I'm so in love with this look!
My oldest, Lily, chose her fabric and quickly pointed out the Desert Flor Spring which is a gorgeous pink and blue print on knit. She had asked me last summer for a high low dress at the end of the season and I wasn't able to get to it. After mashing two patterns together to get the look I wanted, I unveiled the dress to her.

She absolutely loved it.
What I loved is how the fabric washed up with no signs of pilling or fading.
The comfortable fabric paired with a dramatic hemline had her sitting at her piano putting on a show for us. Another great garment for the warm weather to come.
Now, head over to Sewing & Tell via the link below to view more beautiful fabric from the Fiesta Fun line! Also, check back Thursday and Friday because this tour continues through the week and I've had the privilege of seeing some sneak peeks, you won't be disappointed!
